Join us for this online education session to learn more about VON community supports and services.

Monique and Derrick will give an overview of the VON (Victorian Order of Nurses) and discuss how their Community Support Programs and Services may be beneficial to individuals living with dementia.
Monique Natividad is a Program Supervisor for the VON Adult Day Program in Nova Scotia. She has been with VON for 14 years, starting as a Program Coordinator in Colchester East Hants. Monique is committed to creating a welcoming and engaging space where clients feel supported and valued. She focuses on meaningful activities that enhance well-being and connection, ensuring that program participants have a positive experience. Monique lives in the Truro area with her husband and three sons. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and singing.
Derrick Babin has been with VON for over 17 years in the capacity of Coordinator, Manager and now Senior Manager of NS Community Support Services. He has a background in caregiver education & support and participated in one of the working groups that helped inform the NS Dementia Strategy. Derrick is a past Board Director of the Alzheimer Society of NS and resides in Yarmouth County with his wife and adult son. Derrick and his wife enjoy gardening and are hobby beekeepers.
