Introducing a new resource for kids ages 9 and up: Youth in Action - A Toolkit for Young Dementia Supporters.

Designed for youth in Grade 5 and up, this Toolkit helps young people understand dementia, its impact, and how they can provide meaningful support to people living with dementia in their families or communities. Through engaging activities, learning materials, and a personal Action Plan, the Toolkit reduces stigma and empowers youth to become dementia supporters.

The Toolkit was developed by the Alzheimer Society of Ontario in partnership with MAREP at Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging and funded by a grant from the Retired Teachers of Ontario. Young people can use it individually or in group settings, such as classrooms, clubs, or community programs.
