I am a researcher

Researchers play a vital role in improving the lives of people affected by dementia. Learn about the different ways we help researchers by providing letters of support, promoting participant recruitment, bridging connections with people with lived experience and mobilizing research findings.

The Alzheimer Society of B.C. invests in researchers to conduct and mobilize research focused on:

  • Understanding the causes of dementia.
  • Investigating prevention and modifiable risk factors.
  • Pioneering diagnostics.
  • Developing effective treatments.
  • Advancing innovative supports and care practices.

Our goal is to change the future of the disease, while enabling people affected by dementia to live well today, at all stages of the dementia journey.

Research support

Our Research & Knowledge Mobilization team is here to support your project at every point of the research continuum.

ASBC supports you across the research continuum from letters of support and recruitment to knowledge mobilization.

Investing in researchers

Donors and partner organizations fund groundbreaking research to improve evidence-based care and support for people affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Investing in researchers enables the brightest minds in the field to action their work from idea to impact. The Alzheimer Society of B.C.’s funding for research is made possible by the generous donations of individuals, as well as community and corporate sponsors.
