Letters of support

The Alzheimer Society of B.C. supports research that focuses on preventing and/or reducing the risk of dementia, identifying strategies to diagnose dementia earlier and more effectively, or facilitates the discovery and promotion of enhanced approaches to care, at all stages of the dementia journey. 

Letters of support are an integral part of a grant application. They help demonstrate that the researcher has a well-established and reliable reputation, as well as the expertise and connections necessary to successfully undertake their proposed project.

Criteria for requesting a letter of support

  • Two week’s advanced notice prior to the application deadline is recommended.
  • Affiliation with an academic institution.
  • The researcher, individual or organization engaged must not benefit from their research or activity by selling or marketing a product.
