We are mindful of the importance of social distancing and the role we play in our communities to protect the health of our clients, employees, volunteers and their families. We recently reopened in-person programs along with the associated volunteer opportunities. In-person volunteers are required to provide proof of vaccination; wearing a mask is optional.

About the role

As a Donor Relations Assistant, you will play a crucial role in fostering strong relationships with our generous donors, showing appreciation for their support, and ensuring they feel valued and connected to our mission. This volunteer role requires excellent phone etiquette, active listening skills, empathy, and computer proficiency, as well as a commitment to our cause.

Commitment

We require a minimum one year commitment from Donor Relations Assistants. Assistants will need to be available to volunteer bi-weekly.

Training provided

The Alzheimer Society of B.C. provides an excellent and comprehensive training program to Donor Relations Assistants, including basic education about dementia and its causes. Training is delivered through online modules and onsite the day of.
