National Volunteer Week 2022

British Columbia

We are joining organizations across Canada to celebrate volunteers and the work they do to support their communities. Read stories shared by volunteers, Society staff and clients that celebrate our volunteers who are working towards a dementia-friendly society.

This year, April 24-30 is National Volunteer Week and we will be joining organizations across Canada to applaud the volunteers who enable us to organize events and provide support to people affected by dementia. The Alzheimer Society of B.C.’s mission to build communities where people affected by dementia are acknowledged, supported and included would not be possible without their dedication. Volunteers show people affected by dementia that they’re not alone.

Throughout the week, we will showcase stories shared by volunteers, Society staff and clients that celebrate the positive impact volunteers have on our communities. As the campaign unfolds, we’ll be sharing stories about volunteers across the province, so please stay tuned.
