Tell us about your experience of COVID-19

British Columbia

At the Alzheimer Society of B.C., we want to learn more about the impact COVID-19 has had on people affected by dementia and health-care providers to improve our First Link® dementia support, as well as our resources for health-care providers.

For people living with dementia and caregivers

As a part of our ongoing evaluation of First Link® being undertaken by researchers at UBC, we have just launched a survey which focuses on the impact of the pandemic on people living with dementia and their caregivers. We invite you to complete this short, anonymous survey and share your views and experiences with us here.

For health-care providers

We have also launched a survey for people who work with people living with dementia to better understand their experiences of providing care during the pandemic. This information will allow us to develop and share relevant resources and build a community of practice where health-care providers can learn from each other and develop strategies for supporting people living with dementia. We invite you to share your questions, stories and strategies with us by completing the short survey here.

We will continue to heed the guidance of the Provincial Health Officer and the BC Centre for Disease Control when making decisions about the Society's operations, including in-person programs. We are having ongoing discussions with our community members to identify the best ways to meet people's support needs. We value your feedback, concerns and suggestions and the responses that you share in these surveys will help shape the programs and services we provide.
